Mr. Howison is a native of Huntsville who has practiced law in the North Alabama area for over 20 years. He has extensive experience in real estate law, consumer bankruptcy and civil litigation. He has represented many individuals in consumer Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy filings and also represents and advises businesses as creditors in bankruptcy proceedings. Russ has represented small business and small business owners in drafting formation documents, bylaws, operating agreements and commonly used business contracts.
A graduate of UAH in 1998 and Cumberland Law School at Samford University in 2002, Mr. Howison was admitted to practice in Alabama in 2003, and is admitted to practice before the Federal District Courts of the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama. Russ, his wife and three children have called Athens home since 2017 and Russ is a Shepherd at Discovery Church in Athens. He and his family are actively involved in their church and the Athens community.
